We started with their passions – collecting Air Jordan Sneakers along with watching Beauty & the Beast – and created a wedding look for the groom that was perfectly personalized.
We have to say, this wedding – which took place at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto – was super fun to work on!
Edwin Wong was was referred to us by an associate at another custom clothier, and ended up visiting our booth at Canada's Bridal Show. We were very intrigued by the vision that Edwin and his bride, Rosanna, had for their wedding.
The couple's favourite movie is Beauty and the Beast, so the starting point was a themed colour scheme of blue, white and gold. The next influence was the couple's interest in collecting sneakers, specifically Air Jordans by Nike.
To put it all together, we designed a custom cerulean blue smoking jacket for Edwin, with a white shirt and gold bow tie. The bride's wedding dress was inspired by the dress Belle wore in the movie. For footwear, they each wore a pair of Air Jordans.
